In still underground chambers, Carbink gather in quiet clusters, humble Pokémon made of crystal and stone. Then, once in an unimaginable while, something extraordinary happens. One of them changes. Not through evolution, not through training but through spontaneous mutation. That’s how Diancie is born.
It’s a transformation no one, not even Carbink, can predict. And it raises a difficult question, what happens when something that was once part of a group becomes something else entirely?
The other Carbink still gather around Diancie. They don’t flee or reject it. They encircle it with reverence. It’s as if they can feel something sacred has occurred. It may never speak it aloud. It may never show it openly. But when danger comes, it steps forward with a sword of diamond in one hand and the radiance of choice in the other.
